The working principle and structural characteristics

1.1 Working Principle

When excavating materials, the wheel-bucket excavator does not walk, but mainly relies on the composite movement composed of the rotation of the bucket wheel at its front end and the rotation of the boom to continuously cut the materials and load them into the wheel bucket. When the bucket turns to a certain height with the wheel bucket, the materials fall to the receiving conveyor belt due to the action of gravity, and then are unloaded onto the unloading conveyor belt through the hopper and loaded into vehicles or conveyors. To the designated location. If the machine moves or the boom lands after a layer of material is dug up, then the next layer of material is dug down, so that the thickness of the dug material is controlled by the advance distance of the machine or the expansion of the boom, and the width is determined by the rotation speed. The walking of the wheel bucket excavator is auxiliary, the operation is continuous, the bucket is only used for digging, and the conveyor of materials is a belt conveyor.

1.2 Structural Features

Wheel bucket excavator is mainly composed of 6 parts: walking system, rotary system, working system, conveying system, electric drive system, hydraulic system, its main characteristics are:

(1) Walking system: At present, most wheel-bucket excavators use crawler walking system, and a few use walking walking system. From the relevant information, most of the medium and small wheel bucket excavators use double tracks, while the large wheel bucket excavators use multiple tracks (three tracks or four tracks), which can reduce the specific pressure of the equipment on the ground.

(2) Rotary system: composed of rotary table and rotary drive device, etc., the rotary table has a power device, drive device, control equipment and control room, etc., due to the use of rotary support bearings, the drive device can make the rotary table rotate 360° around the vertical axis.

(3) Working system: composed of bucket wheel, boom, amplitude changing mechanism and driving device. The bucket wheel is mounted on the front end of the boom and is a rotating wheel with several buckets distributed. The rear end of the boom is hinged on the gantry of the turntable, and the boom is rotated by wire rope or hydraulic cylinder, so that the bucket wheel can be excavated on different working faces. There are two main boom lengths: fixed and retractable. The bucket wheel drive device is composed of a motor, a safety coupling and a reducer, and is arranged on the side of the front end of the boom to drive the bucket wheel to rotate.

(4) Conveying system: composed of receiving conveyor belt, hopper and discharging conveyor belt. In addition, the connecting bridge wheel-bucket excavator is also equipped with a transfer conveyor belt on the connecting bridge.

(5) Electric drive system: wheel bucket excavators all use external power converter units.

(6) Hydraulic system: The hydraulic cylinder is mainly used to drive the bucket wheel arm and the unloading arm.
